If these are your values as well, APPLY NOW! # The Resident Aide performs non-direct care and supportive tasks for residents to include checking in on residents regularly, answering call lights promptly; following through with resident problems or needs by performing tasks within own scope of responsibilities and alerting nursing staff of needs of direct care (i.e. toileting, bathing, feeding, transferring, ambulation, dressing, etc.) Resident Safety: Observes safety needs of residents; identifies safety hazards and reports to appropriate staff after insuring resident is out of immediate danger. Safely transports residents to and from dining and activities areas. Alerts licensed staff to residents' transfer needs. Meal Assistance: Prepares resident meals; transports dependent residents and escorts independent residents to dining room when required; assists with transport of food cart to and from dietary department; checks tray with diet care before serving to resident; sets up trays for residents; serves and collects food trays. Delivers between meal nourishment and fresh drinking water to residents; reports/records percent of nourishment consumed and amount of fluid intake. Delivers ice water to water pitchers maintained at bedside for each resident (unless otherwise directed by licensed staff); delivers water pitchers to dietary department for sanitizing. Non-Direct Care: Maintains cleanliness and organization for residents; straightens dresser tops, wardrobes, and stands in residents' rooms; labels, separates and cares for residents' personal care items; cares for residents' flower and plants as assigned; maintains cleanliness of resident units, facility supply and workrooms; cleans bed pans and urinals; washes basins, cleans floor if resident is incontinent; cleans and removes spilled food and liquids. Changes, disinfects and makes unoccupied beds, collects and bags soiled linen; stores clean linens; places resident personal laundry in designated place, maintains orderliness of clean linen cart. Cleans and disinfects soiled wheelchairs, geri-chairs and walkers. Report residents' incidents immediately to licensed staff for prompt attention and completes appropriate documentation per facility policy. Follows established infection control precautions; maintains resident confidentiality. The Resident Aide may not perform direct care.
