This position interacts with the entire Sales and Marketing department, Merchandising department, suppliers, brokers, and customers. This role will function as a team member within the organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.• Work effectively and safely.• Progressive performance throughout the 90 day training period so as to meet minimum required standards for Marketing Specialist.• Maximize support of all suppliers - set up and coordinate promotions.• Develop marketing programs and tools for sales - assist with introducing new items.• Assist with eliminating dead or slow moving items and consolidating lines.• Produce flyers and newsletters.• Work with customers to develop sales.• Maintain records and history on promotions and marketing monies raised.• Secure maximum marketing dollars from suppliers• Work to promote the branded product• Monitor and promote sales for the vendors and items producing the highest gross profit dollars.• Adhere to all company policies.• Assist in other areas as assigned.• Must be able to travel with job.• Coordinate monthly sales meetings. Qualifications: Education - Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Experience – Two (2) years of related experience and/or training. Experience in writing, design and event management is preferred.Proficient in AS400, Microsoft Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator.
